Think Make Do relaunches University of Colorado’s Department of Art and Art History

Denver, October 20, 2011 — Think Make Do re-launches the University of Colorado’s Department of Art and Art history website at its new address: cuart.colorado.edu As befits a 21st century Art Department, the new site is primarily image-driven, and includes a master events calendar, separate calendars for the many different events series put on by this vibrant department. There is also an extensive faculty gallery, so prospective students can begin to connect with their mentors.

The University of Colorado Department of Art and Art History is a cross-disciplinary, student-centered program incorporating programs in art history, ceramics, drawing & painting, photography & digital media, print making, and sculpture. Through research, educational and artistic activity, the Visiting Artist Program, the Visiting Scholar Program, Arts-Bridge Scholars Program, and the Pre-Collegiate Program, the department provides a vital and durable presence in the Boulder and metro Denver arts communities. Internationally, the department engages in study abroad programs in France, Italy, Mongolia, Mexico, Spain.

The primary goal of the redesign was showcase these impressive aspects and the cultural production of the faculty and students, and to improve outreach to prospective students in the Department’s service area. Ancillary goals were to include the expansion of dynamic, real-time information about college events and student and faculty accomplishments, general improvements to the overall website aesthetic and experience, and improvements to sharing events information with the greater Boulder community.
